I remembered this girl from Elementary.

We would throw snowballs up and let them land on our heads for fun

We'd draw messages in the snow because we were too shy to talk for the first week

We'd always want to be partners for class assignments but always look away too fast and pick another friend of the same sex.

All my friends would bug me about ditching them for you

But then again, did they ever call to go biking or for a swim?

We didn't know what love was

So we called it LIKE!

I fell in like with you.

We built forts

Went on bike rides

Even held pinkies...

Till the day you said you'd move..

I really didn't understand the reason you cried,

I didn't think i'd acually never see you again.

I was too young to understand

But I wasn't too young to miss you

I didn't get your last name,

Not in my year book, parents can't remember, nothing.

I wish you'd come back

Build another fort...

I can't help but wonder what we could have been...

I've never had that best friend for years

nor have I really had a good friend.

But the memories of you

Are good enough.
