I cannot state that I know this is true, being my life has not been long enough to know any reasonable answer to the question as stated, but what I can tell you is that something's in life are better endured in the moment, and then thought of and remembered over time. Anything that has been treasured in life was a moment or a slice of time when you don't realise reality, and that slice of time you feed upon for the next eternity before you.
A man once thought to himself "I wonder what will fade first, Christianity or Rock n' Roll". Now the people beyond his time take this slight gesture into appreciation as it slowly becomes true, and the man who ended this man's reign can place his face into his palm and ask himself, why? This man also believed in true peace and love, and that we are all able to live our lives and chose our own destiny. This man was also shot by a man who read a book that told him this other man needed to die. At the time, this death was a tragedy. Now this death is a beautiful mark in this man's legacy, as he has changed the world with his music with Ringo, George and Paul. Stopped wars and inspired people to do what they felt was right, and that the right to have a say in something, was the most powerful thing every given to man. The power to question is either dangerous, or immensely rewarding.
Now with the title of this essay being as stated "The important things in life endure over time" is very true, but this is a lesson that must be passed down by old folks sitting in rest homes counting fish on their spare time. The hidden secrets we must sit down and take time to unlock, because either we become old and hold these same secrets, or shut up while we are young and learn to not make the mistakes they have made before.
